The Nordic Center will be closing for the season on March 23, 2008. Please check back next fall for a calendar of upcoming events – you won’t want to miss the Full Moon ski events, the Grand Lake Classic, the Eat, Ski and Be Merry Event or the Valentine’s Ski specials!
The new rental equipment has been ordered for delivery next fall, which means there will be the opportunity to purchase from our current inventory of rentals. The equipment available will include both classic and skate skis and boots; they should be available sometime in mid-November. Keep checking the website for updates.
As the season heads toward spring, we want to thank everyone for making this a wonderful ski season. It has been a great snow year with excellent conditions (once we made it through the mild November)!
Some of the 2008 season highlights include:
• Full Moon ski events in November, December, January and February
• Eat Ski and Be Merry, The 30th Annual Grand Lake Classic, and the Valentine's 2-for-1 Days
• The Grand Nordic Club conducted a free beginner ski clinic with over 50 participants
• We hosted many groups at the Center, including the entire Indian Peaks Charter School, Grand Lake Elementary School, a Boy Scout Group from Denver, two senior groups from the Front Range,
And, the District Friday Fling group skied with us three times!
